What is Raise

Raise is a 5-11s kids ministry based in Norfolk with a vision to be able to go beyond the borders helping churches and schools engage with children in a variety of ways.  Raise has experience in kids work for many years.

The team is led by Andy Jones an experienced Children and Schools Worker.

Andy Jones - Director of Operations

Originally from Stockport, near Manchester - Andy felt from the age of 10 that God had placed it on his heart to work with kids and sharing the good news about God with them. Throughout his college and university years he got involved with more and more voluntary work in a number of settings. These included being part of a team leading lunch clubs, residential weekends and weeks away, leading multi-site kids clubs, upfront and small group work at holiday clubs.

In 2002 Andy moved to North Norfolk as Children and Youth Pastor for a church there and has been in full time in kids work since 2008 and amongst other things he has written and led 6 kids clubs - and over those seven years worked in nearly 20 schools across South Norfolk reaching an estimated 108,000 children over that time.

Andy has written and led multi-church kids residential camps and church weekends away for over 100 children each time - prepared and led all age services - written, starred in and led 10 holiday clubs - worked with a large number of teams in different settings - led puppet praise parties and praise parties - led puppet training sessions - presented the gospel in a number of creative ways including using puppets, props, magic tricks and songs.

After three years he moved to Norwich to work with Norwich Youth for Christ as a church worker in an Anglican and a Baptist Church. He got married to the office manager, Fliss, in 2006 and now they have two children - one of each flavour.

Andy can come on board and help you by himself, or where needed, he can call on valuable volunteers to deliver quality kids work and training.
